When you are at the office, grinding away at your 9-5 job, it's important to drink lots of water.
Drinking water keeps your body hydrated.Proper hydration helps your body remove toxins that are built inside you through the foods we eat and naturally given off from your body and also helps you maintain your metabolism to burn those calories off.
It is very important to drink around 6-8 glasses of water every day. Usually when you feel a sense of hunger, it is your body telling you that you need water not food. Also, when you feel thirsty, it is already too late because your body is already dehydrated. Drinking water will help you feel less hungry, so next time when you want something to eat drink a glass of water first.
PLUS water has no calories, isn’t that awesome?
This is why juices are to be avoided or at least reduced because of the calorie and sugar content that accompanies drinking it.When you do decide to drink juice, look on the bottle to check to say if it is 100% juice.
If you have decided to lose weight, drinking diet soda can actually SABOTAGE your weight loss goals and make it even harder to lose weight.Recent study shows that people who drink 1 diet soda a day actually gained more weight compared to people who drank sugary soda a day.
Why is that?
People who drink diet soda feel that they can eat more of other things because of it.There was a joke I heard once saying that this women ordered the biggest burger, supersized the fries, but… ordered a diet soda. Do you really think that diet drink is going to help you offset all those calories your putting into your body?I think not! Also, there are also plenty of artificial sweeteners inside that want you to eat MORE sweets and hunger for MORE food, which is why it is not recommended to drink any diet soda.
